Hints for Districts June 10th and 11th:
Mother O has secured our spot for this weekend. When you come in the fenced area we are to your left; I5 has the first portion of the grassy area before the bleachers and we are located in the second half in front of the long jump pits, so don't forget your chairs and cots. In the past we have been allowed to leave our tent frames up in our spot for Sunday. We have just removed the covering and lowered the frames, allowing for an easy set up for Sunday.

For team check in, have your athlete grab their event stickers to allow for attendance. We will then be handing out the bibs for each athlete. The bib will be needed for BOTH days of competition. Please do not misplace or lose the bib, or you will have to pay a replacement fee for a new one.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! It is going to hot this weekend, we want to make sure our athletes are hydrated and able to perform to the best of their ability. Please remember to bring lots of water and healthy food options for your athlete to eat through out the day, while they are competing. Save the fun concession items till after they are done for the day.

Remember the top 3 athletes will be receiving medals and the 4th thru 6th place athletes will be receiving ribbons. There will be an award presentation area with the AAU backdrop, where the ribbons and medals will be awarded. This is a great photo opportunity to snap a shot of your child and their success. We will share the location after tomorrow's coaches meeting, we will also let you know if the top 6 athletes in each will be going directly to the award area post event or if there is a lag time between completion and awards.

Remember only a "Timed Final" of an event will be awarded medals and ribbons.

Results of each event will be posted on the fence outside of the entrance. Remember the top 16 athletes will qualify to compete at the Regional track meet. Please note if your child will be competing in a "Semi-Final" on Saturday to check to see if he or she qualifies to complete in "Final" on Sunday.

I will have a copy of the Male and Female Performance Lists, feel free to look over the list to see the competitors and times/distances in your child's event.

Please remember that there are only Porta potties at this event. It never hurts to have a spare roll of toilet paper and hand sanitizer, just in case.

If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to call or text me at (703) 229-2091. If I am driving to the venue, I may not immediately return a text.
